Good Behavior

Friday we went to a teaching assembly and learned some strategies for self control. During that assembly we had such good behavior that we won the trophy. One class from intermediate earns the trophy and one class from primary. SM got his name drawn out of the "Making Good Choices" basket and got to pick out these neat glasses. Good job S. You are always cute, but these just make me laugh.
We have a box full of goodies to send to our friend Chipper, the baby squirrel.
Thank you everyone for helping us fill the box.
Monday our parents club helped us all get weighed, measured,
and checked our vision.

Reindeer Cookies

We received enough compliments to make our monkey moment chain touch the floor so we made reindeer cookies as our reward. Every time an adult comments on our good behavior we get to add a monkey to our chain. This is JM with hers. We also made one for our reading buddy.
We are on our way down the hall to deliver them.
They have no idea that we are coming, so it will be fun to surprise them.
We have been thinking a lot about what the holidays mean.
Everyone was asked to write about their favorite family tradition
and then we printed them. Here is one that is finished. We put
them in our photo album so we will always have them.
Today anyone who has a birthday in December got to eat
at the birthday table. Here are AD and NW.
Happy Birthday!

Concert Practice

This is a picture of us on Tuesday morning at the Vert practicing for our Christmas Concert. Tuesday afternoon we wrote about our Christmas tradition
and this is PS downloading his writing.
Here is LW adding decorations to her Christmas tradition page.
This is RV illustrating her tradition page.

Mrs. Thorne came in the other day and let us practice self control.
Here we are being careful not to BLURT out our answer.

How Big Is That Shark

We are learning about sharks this week in our reading.
Here the kids are working together to see how long 50 feet is.
The largest shark can grow to be 50 feet long.
The smallest shark is only 5 inches long.
(We think it would be easy to catch a small one.)

Tis the Season for Giving

On Thursday we presented our counselor with some money from our card and label sales.
She will use it to help a McKay Family during the holidays.
Here is a letter that TC wrote to remember the moment.

Here is a short video clip of us handing over the money.
