Hundreds Have It
Today we played a math card game where we had to create the largest number we could. I would turn over one card at a time and everyone had to decide where they should place that number in order to make the largest number. This is BW celebrating that he won. We had a lot of fun with this game. Our strategy improved as we got into the game.

No chicks! We opened the shells up and discovered all the green eggs were duds. After reading more, we discovered it is common that some chicks will die right before hatching. This is caused by bacteria (The duds). We want to try it again, this time with eggs we can see through.
Thursday and Friday are Grandparent days.
Book Fair is April 13 - 18th

Still Waiting
We are still waiting! This morning before school, I opened an egg. It was rotten. I checked another one and it was good! We are watching it close and hoping for the best. Yesterday we went to the computer lab and did some research on our animals.
We also worked on our electronic portfolios. You will get to see these at conferences.
In the afternoon we went to the Wax Museum that the 4th graders put on. Here are some pictures of some of our sisters who are in 4th grade.

Almost Ready to Hatch
I caught JS trying to listen for some "peeping" early this morning. We think they will start breaking through the shell tomorrow.GB and BP are putting their words on the time line of our eggs. They are explaining about the best temperature for the eggs. See their thermometer?
We are also growing seeds. We planted them today.
MM is showing the thank you note we wrote to PGG for the incubator.
We are beginning our animal research projects. If you have any books about animals that we could borrow, that would be great. This is BW with some of the books he is letting us use.
