We are in the process of making another poster.

This time we are filling our paper with flowers using tissue paper.

They are going to be bright and colorful. Maybe Spring will decide to come back.

We created bookmarks for the bookmark contest today in Library.

Wonderful Wednesday

A big shout out to CC and his mom for supplying us with the Monkey Moment treats.

We all loved the Snicker doodle cookies, thank you.

GP got glasses! Oh so cute.

Today was our day to partner read.

I love to walk around and listen to each pair work so well together.

They are so engaged in the story that they don't even notice me taking pictures.

Parents Club is running the snack food sale this week. They are asking parents of second graders to supply treats this time. Please send individually wrapped snacks to school by Friday morning. Thank you!

Next round of OAKS testing will begin next week. Reading first and the following week will be math. Please make sure your child has a good breakfast and is well rested.

Valentine's Day

We had a wonderful Valentine party. Everyone did such a fantastic job on their Valentine boxes. I hope you all had a wonderful day too.

We learned about Matisse and created art like him.

We cut out shapes from our painted paper we made yesterday.
They turned out wonderful!

Preparing Special Art Project

Our parent volunteers are coming in again tomorrow to do a special art project with us,

so we painted some paper today.

ZJ using the sound system during a quick game of higher or lower.

Snowmen & New itouch

We are working on our writing with a focus on our readers.

We want to capture you and hold on to you as we tell our stories.

Here AB is recording his story to share with us on our new itouch.

During reading we learned how to make a digital book using the "Story Kit" app.
Students are using the built in camera to illustrate their stories they will type and record themselves reading their books.

Then their book will be stored on each of the itouches for others to view.
