Wonderful Field Trip

Today we toured Big John's Pizza Parlor.
Owner Andy M. was an excellent host and very generous. He taught us all how to make our very own pizza.
We put special sauce on our pizza crust...
Topped it with cheese...
and pepperoni if we wanted it.

Then we brought it into the kitchen to put it in the oven.
Here we are waiting for them to cook. Yummm....we can smell them.
Scrumptious!

"This is the best pizza we have every had."
As we left, Andy showed us the dough being rolled out.
This was so much fun! Thank you everyone at BIG JOHN'S PIZZA!
Then we headed over to the Fire Station,
where the guys had four stations for us to go through.
We got to try on their turn out gear, and learn how to hook up to a fire hydrant.

We also felt what it is like to spray water out of one of the fire hoses.
We even got to go into the tower and use the night vision tool to find someone
by their body heat.
This group put on their gear and then ran to the "pretend" fire so we could
find out what it is like to move quickly in heavy outfits.
It was a lot of fun and we admire the job the firemen do.

Good friends sharing special times together.
Thank you to all the Firemen who made this day so special to us.
After our visits, it was time for lunch. We moved on to Pioneer Park for some more fun.
Even though it was a hot day, we played hard.
