Panda Study

This week we learned about Panda bears.
We wrote a summary about them before drawing
these cute paintings.
This one is DL's work.
We got the help from Jan Brett, a famous author illustrator, in drawing our bears.
Here we are watching the video and drawing along.
First we drew with pencil.
Then we used Payons to add color.
Here is our largest reading group reading together with student teacher Mrs. Padberg.
Our reading basal story this week was about a cat that shares his life between two houses.
After completing the story, we went online to learn more about the fastest cat in the world, the cheetah.
LR and JM have earned their 25 mile walking club charm
and they each got a jumprope. Way to go girls.
AD and KZ earned a heart charm from Mrs. Hamilton in P.E. too.
At the end of the day we had a few minutes for choice time. Here CS and LR are
working some math problems on the board.
JV decided to make this object.
These four enjoyed using the geoboards together.
Here is MA working on her writing assignment.
This is AD with his.
The assignment was to write and expain to me what they
understand about having a student teacher in the room.
Early in the morning the kids were admiring their artwork in the calendar.
