Report Cards

Hopefully by now you have had a chance to look over the report cards.
The colored math and reading sheets are "extra" to help you see what your child's strengths and weaknesses are.
To put it simply, you want a "2" or higher. I separated each skill so you would know how to help your child learn each second grade skill. If you need any help, please let me know.
Today was the last day with our laptops. I think we are going to have major withdrawals.
We had so much fun using them for reading, math, and writing.
Oh yeah! We learned how to rename (carry) today. It was really fun and we would love to practice more if you want to help. Example: 46 + 26 = ?
For now keep all answers under 100.

We finished our Capitol Building art work today and now we are working on some great sayings to place around them. We are using some of President Obama's words from his Inauguration speech.
During reading, DC was tracking along the words as he reads at his laptop.
TM was completing his spelling test online today. Warning, next weeks words are much harder, so we will need your help learning the words.
A small group sat at the rug reading their story during reading block.
Everyone has plenty to do when we have the laptops out.
LS is working on a reading activity from my website.
Have a nice weekend!
