Mrs. G Visits About Africa

Last Friday, Mrs. G. came in to share her adventures of Africa with us. She brought in a lot of neat things with her.
These are African porcupine quills. Much larger than what we might see here in America.

We learned the difference between predators and prey. We learned that if our eyes are on the side of your skull, you are a prey. If your eyes are in front of your skull, you are a predator.
This is a skull of a baboon. Look at those teeth.
Mrs. G also brought in some neat horns from different animals.
These are horns from a Oryx.
These are from a Kudu.
You probably know this one.....warthog.
We learned a lot and Mrs. G was an amazing story teller and speaker.
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us!

Dear Mrs. Schimel,
I wish I were still in second grade!(:
It must have been really fun. I remember when we learned about elephants. I hope we meet up sometime. Yours Truly,
