Conference Appointments have been sent home.
Please let me know if you will be able to make it.
Thursday afternoon a bunch of McKay staff got together and drove to Hermiston with a horse trailer to collect enough pumpkins for our primary students at McKay School. We thought, if we can't GO to the pumpkin patch, we will BRING the pumpkin patch to us.
Here is Mrs. Stewart welcoming us into the patch.
She and her husband GAVE us over 300 pumpkins for free.
This is Mr. Krusow, the pumpkin farmer, who grew this wonderful field of pumpkins. He kept searching for more pumpkins to put in our truck.
They had cut the pumpkins off the vine and piled them along the road in the field for us to pick up.
Then we came along and relayed them into the trailer.

Catch Mrs. Stewart!
Truck and trailer is full and we are headed to McKay!
A couple of very good pumpkin gatherers.
Then Friday morning we unloaded all the pumpkins while it was still dark out and placed them around the front lawn.
Then when the children arrived at school we went out and everyone got to select a pumpkin to take home.

How awesome!!! Orange looks great next to those smiling faces and your scarecrows are just perfect surrounding your pumpkin patch.
I can feel the excitement.
Always impressed,
Mrs. Nelson
