Bunny Drawing

We read my favorite Easter story called "The Big Bunny and the Easter Egg" today. Then we set out to draw the main character, Wilbur.
We invited our second grade buddies to join us for the drawing.

Here SA and EM are watching me draw a section before they draw theirs.

JS and CA are watching closely.

Here we are in music class.

And here we are dancing around in music.

Now we're having fun! Much better than that hand holding kind of dancing we did last month.

It was announced early this morning that Mrs. Miltenberger will be our Principal next year.

She is currently our 5th grade teacher. We are very excited to welcome her into this new position and know that she will bring wonderful things our school district.

We wanted to make her a gift to help her prepare for this new position, so students

wrote suggestions as to what she might want to change at McKay. This is JS and JW

working together to create a list of 12 items for her.

CS wanted to make sure he spelled his letter correctly so he is using his dictionary.

EM is too.

Here are a few of our ideas:

If I were Principal I would give everybody a laptop. And let every sleep at school. And give everybody a 100 dollars a day if they do their chores at school. CF

If I were Principal I would have every Monday be Fruit Kabobs Day. Tuesday be root beer float Day. Wensday be bring your own pet Day. Thersday be stay over night and read books and whach movies. Friday be art work Day. BP

If I were the principal I would have math intel 12;00 and after 12;00 I would have story time. GB

If I were Principal I would give all of the kids a animal that start with their name and a candy too. RL
